St. Luke Parish is committed to the reality that young people are an important and integral part of our parish community. Our mission is to reach out to 8th – 12th grade students providing them a place of safety and trust in sharing and growing in their fellowship with one another, their faith with Jesus and their participation with community.
Students gather every 4th Sunday for the 6:00 PM Mass followed with fellowship and activities in St. Luke’s Church Hall until 8:30 pm. Each month, our teens are given a chance to go a bit deeper into their faith and build community based on the activity we host that evening. Social activities and parish involvement occurs throughout the year.
This past year, 2014-2015 the teens participated in the Church Bazaar hosting a Kid’s Place decorating sugar cookies, held a Hygiene Kit collection for the homeless and Clothing & Small Household Item Collection for Veterans.
Spring will bring a variety of Contemporary Christian Concerts to the area where we hope to enjoy.
A Youth Ministry Facebook page is now available. Check us out & be sure to Like Us at St.LukeYouthMinistryCT.
The ministry is always looking for teen and adult volunteers. For more information contact our Director of Youth Ministry, Joan Robinson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
