St. Luke Church Choir
The Adult Choir provides music for the 5:00 pm Saturday Vigil Mass, and rehearses at 3:45 pm before the Mass. The Adult Choir sings a varied repertoire ranging from chant to spirituals to contemporary.
The Children’s Choir is open to youth in grades 3-8, and sings at the 10:30 am Mass on average two Sunday’s of the Month. The rehearsal for this choir varies call for more details.
The Cantor training program is open to all parishioners, from young adult to older. Cantors will rehearse once a week as scheduled, and learn the essentials to leading the congregation in sung prayer, especially good vocal production. Cantors participate with or without the choirs, and especially when the choirs are in recess.
Includes parishioners who are professional, semi-professional musicians, or amateurs who are actively studying their instruments of choice. Any musical instrument that is a member of the orchestral family (strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion) is welcome and utilized on an individually scheduled basis. These musicians perform on major Feast Days, various Sundays, special liturgies as well as parish concerts and recitals.
